Matsinhe disse que do apuramento geral, Chapo obteve 70,68 por cento de votos, contra 20,32 porcento do candidato Ven\u00e2ncio Mondlane, enquanto o terceiro lugar foi ocupado por Ossufo Momade com 5,81 por cento e finalmente. Lutero Simango ficou em quarto com apenas 3, 21 porcento.
